Most depressing day……..

So my hubby got home from the hospital yesterday after having major surgery, the reason we are here at home this winter, not traveling in our motor home experiencing new adventures! There were a few adjustments to be made and the worry of the first night at home and how would he do….he managed well overnight but our day began at 6 am when he needed to get up and move around….

Those of you who know me know I am not a morning person!! I love to take photographs and I KNOW that the best times are around sunrise and sunset…the sunset I can willingly do, sunrises? On special occasions!!

We turned the tv on to watch the news and learned that today is recognized as the ‘most depressing day of the year’!

Let me share with you our version of the ‘most depressing day’ of the year……..

Frederick CrossingIt started with the colour brightening up the sky!

to the west the colour was just as beautiful…..

Then the sun came out to play!

Kamloops LakeMade me think about getting up early more often!!                                                                                                                                                      The day did not disappoint!

And if all that wasn’t enough then came the setting sun!

On top of all this (as if this wasn’t more than enough!) one of my images I posted to my Flickr account  ( http://www.flickr.com/photos/imckr2 ) went VIRAL today!!  Last count it had been viewed by 10,828 people and ‘marked as a favorite’ by 217 of them!!!  My best one to date!!!

Soooooooooooo………..if this is the ‘most depressing day of the year’ then I say BRING IT ON!!! It has been one of the most awesome days of the year! With views like this out my front door it certainly is not difficult to be home!

Hope you had a wonderful day too and I hope no depressing days darken your door!

Until next time………

6 am isn’t early. There is daylight in those photos. Dawn with snow gives an entirely new aspect for photography. Beautiful photos.

There’s always a silver/peach/lavender lining… with the most depressing day over I can’t wait to see how it gets better!
